I'm trying to clear up some HDD space by burning some movies and stuff onto DvD's. But when I try to burn them onto a DvD I get a pop up stating "E: is Not Accessable". Anyone know what is casuing this?

Not really, it's a bit scant on details.

Have you tried with alternative burning software ?

Also, it's almost Christmas day, why not wait and see what money you get ? If I know you Connor you won't be short of a few bob after Christmas, then buy an additional HDD. Cheap as chips these days, I just bought my father in law a Samsung 16mb cache 160 GB for £25 buckaroos.

Anyway, try alternative software and see if it does the same.
What are you using btw ? Is it Nero ?

Nero sucks big time on my PC.

Buying a new HDD was another option, may as well just do that. Saves alot of hassle at the end of the day.

Superb, can't wait until high def burners are cheap as too.

Alternative software still doesn't burn anything to the disk. Same pop-up again. "E: is not accessable". I find it very strange considering this is the drive I use for game discs etc.

I ran into this once before. I had to tell nero what drive to use after months of using it. Also might wanna check to see if the disc is upside down (if it doesn't have a label area and is blank on both sides. A similar problem with burning movies to disc on my rig forced me to disconnect a slave drive that was on another IDE slot for it to work (still haven't figured that one out)

Ah, computers.  So much fun.  I'm currently trying to convince my new computer that if I put a CD into the DVD burner that I want it burned as a CD and not it's beefier cousin.
