That header should get us a few hits from 'guests'... The lesson to be learned here is that if you are the target of numerous assasination attempts then it's best to stay inside the bullet-proof car you have been provided with. I hope that her party can come up with someone else who can stand in her place and not rip itself apart through infighting though..

Of course it's a wind up... Everyone knows it was Elvis who killed her because she was going to ban the selling of hamburgers in Pakistan if she got into power. If that had happened then he'd have had to find somewhere else to build a reclusive palace with gold plated 'Neptune's Cauldron' toilets in every room and the expense would have crippled him. Of course the 'real' story is on every news programme.. http://news.bbc.co.uk/

Colonel K informed me last night that it was no other than Baron Silas Greenback who carried out the dastardly deed & he has dispatched DM & penfold to look in to the matter!!!!!!!

The situation in Pakistan is and has become moreso of a fiasco. There was little trust in Musharrraf because he was friendly with the West. He was trying to pull a military dictatorship off and only backed off because supposed "influence" from the West. The Islam fundamentalist's hate him and so do Bhutto's followers now. I think he has made two huge mistakes for his situation, one being he moved the elections to Jan. 18th and the other bringing the West in to help him investigate her Death. This second part is a cave in to the West and Bhutto's supporters that will bring More Islamic attacks. It's a useless tact considering he had the whole sight hosed down immediately after the attack and no true investigation can be done. The first part is a direct affront to his country and Bhutto's followers in the fact of bumping the elections that far out. I do not see the elections happening now in a fair way, especially with Musharraf clamping down that much harder on rallies using the bombing attacks as a reason to suppress political freedom even more. The man is doing a very poor balancing act and I believe it's only going to get worse over there.

Well, it appears that they have appointed a 19yr old to head Bhutto's party. Her son Bilawal Bhutto has been picked to be eventual leader of the PPP. What a fuckin' mess. We are friends with this country to what end. I know see the people picking between a military dictator that can maintain somewhat control at a heavy cost of course and a Oxford trained non-established young man with no power base and no truly developed leadership skills. It's going to take a strong willed person to control Pakistan and I hate to say it, but it looks like it Musharraf. Hey AF! Pass me the nuke button.
