Whats the score on the penty intel E2 chips ?

From what I read they are mega cheap yet highly over clockable.

Is the core 2 duo a better option ?

I'm tempted by what I've read so far from the 775 d dual core e2 chips.

Coupled with a intel chipset mobo, a ati 3850 gfx set and 40 quid for 2 gig corsair 800 memory I could easily build a rig for the 200 quid mark that would blow my aging athlon 64 out the water.

Is it for playing games on?

If so i'd really go for an E4 or E6 series for the higher FSB and Cache. and really really get an Nvidia card.

I reckon the Q6600 is the best bang for buck around at the mo. You can easily get these babies running at 3.6GHz on stock cooling. Couple that with an 8800GT and your laughing.
