Is it me or does it seem that the Earth is very visibly trying to rid itself of its infestation of humans? I can't recall any time in history when I have heard of so much damage done to humanity by the Earth. It's almost like the Earth is trying to keep up with the damage we are already inflicting on ourselves. I can tick of one major catastrophe after another and it just seems like the Earth is raging against us. I know it's a some what normal cycle, but some part of me can't help but be a bit paranoid.  unsure

Wow, even though we haven't spoken about it, I've been thinking the same thing.  Especially since our area had a minor earthquake a few weeks ago.  There are a few dormant fault lines in our area; Balcones to name one.

It does seem that with the seismic activity going on around the world there are a lot of changes going on below the Earth's crust.  Chili, China.

Berma (not below the crust but still a disaster)  I don't know if the Bermese will ever recover from their catastrophe.

I guess we'll never know if there is just more media coverage or if there is really an increase in natural disasters.

Hyperconnectedness & our ease of movement, that trains & planes & Skype make us all so close to each other...& my fear? I hope that 500 years from now, there will be castles that we made for each other and that there will still be people & music & stories to populate them

Earthquakes come in storms it's been found, one big one starts triggering others like a global domino effect.  scratchhead

It'll be a pandemic that'll have the biggest effect on us, too many people crammed together will let some disease mutate into something almost unstoppable somewhere.
Places like Burma, post disaster, could be a good candidate. Hot, damp, the dead not cleared quickly enough, no way of stopping an outbreak because the medical facilities are destroyed and the regime refusing entry to those who's job it is to help..  confused

The Lemmings will stop killing themselves, take over and invent computers.
Then they will create a revolutionary new game on Amiga and Atari ST called Humans.
