WTF was nanna thinking, surely you would be smart enough not to let a child near your bag when your carrying a gun it ...Fcuken dipshit woman..... A four-year-old girl in the US has shot herself in the chest after snatching her grandmother's handgun from the woman's purse while riding in a shopping cart at a discount store, authorities say. A witness, Lueen Homewood, said workers at Sam's Club in Columbia, South Carolina, grabbed first-aid materials from store shelves to help the grandmother as she cradled the wounded child near the store's pharmacy, The (Columbia) State newspaper reported on its website. The girl was rushed to a hospital in critical condition and was recovering on Monday afternoon after surgery, said police department spokesman Brick Lewis. Hospital officials would not release her condition after the operation. Lewis said the grandmother, Donna Hutto Williamson, has a permit to carry a concealed weapon. The purse containing the small-calibre handgun was in the cart near the child, Lewis said. Williamson, 47, was not immediately charged with a crime. Officials said the shooting, which was captured on store surveillance cameras, appeared to be accidental.

...Fcuken dipshit woman..... I'm offended by that. I was an accident. That could have been prevented, I'm not going to argue that point. But what you've said is really rude. It could have happened with mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, or anyone caring for that child who happened to have a concealed weapon. What was stupid was that there was a gun to begin with, and that it was loaded. It could have been any gender who made that error. So what you should have said was "fcuken dipshit human".

But it wasn't was it. I didn't think that AF was attacking women per se but this particular woman and it was her fault. I am sure your laws over their have some safety requirements for carrying a concealed weapon and that these were breached by this women. The does make her stupid. Just like if it had been her grandpa then he would have been stupid and I am sure that if it had been a man AF would have said the same thing but said man. I often wonder why when a women says a man is stupid that is OK but when a man say a woman is stupid it is taken as an attack on all women and is a sexist remark even when it is true for that particular woman. Sorry Cat I just think you were over sensitive on this one and fell into the feminist trap.

tbh, that is pretty batshit stupid thing to do. i know i sit on the side of 'guns everywhere = safety nowhere", but leaving a loaded (and by the sounds of it, possibly without the safety on) gun in her back with a child around would get you sectioned in a few countries. i'd also agree with vasco on the other thing... i also think political correctness goes too far... if af does something stupid, i'm surely gonna call him a dozey aussie tit

I'm not saying anything about this one. It damn near sounds like a lovers quarrel to me and I'm beginning to wonder. I do have to say that in this case, I don't think AF was being politically incorrect like he usually tries to be. Over hear, Nana is a term of respect.

I am not politically correct, I call a spade a spade....... And just for the record SHE WAS A DIPSHIT WOMAN....

What I'm surprised at was how easy it was for a four year old to pull the bloody trigger in the first place!
There should have been a good few of pounds on the damn thing!
As for the accident itself, I hope that it completely fucks up her whole world view on why she was carrying it in the first place..
God help her (the grandmother), I certainly wouldn't.

It must've been a small revolver, double action.
