Know the feeling well. At least there's fun to be had on the landing, it's worse when yer doing all that brickin it just to land and go to a work related activity I've booked for next year, feck it, hate the flyin but the fun to be had is gonna be tremendous

Its really nothing to worry about: - You are more likely to die from being stung by a bee than you are from flying.
- If you flew every day of your life, on average it would take you nineteen thousand years before you would succumb to a fatal accident.
SourceI'll swap with you though

Ah the old stating statistics. A fear or phobia is an irrational fear, so applying rationale to it is pointless

I didn't enjoy flying either to start with, but now it's like getting on a bus. All the unfamiliar noises don't help and can freak you out a bit, but you start to notice the cues. I even had an aborted take off last week.. (a light didn't come on that should have apparently) Take off is a breeze, you'll probably hear the landing gear go up while it's still climbing, the flaps will retract, the intercom pinging a couple of minutes after take-off is a cue for the flight attendants to start digging out the drinks (I'm pretty sure it pings again when you are at cruising altitude) etc. and so on..* Landing usually has people a bit worried since the plane moves sideways a lot to stay on the landing path (I think that's automatic), but it's normal. Here's a wee vie-day-o [More videos from wooster1]*Oh, and all the internal fixtures and fittings on some planes creak and vibrate like a bastard..

I'm flying tomorrow morning again at 7am (I make that flight number 17 in the past 5 weeks). How much memory do you have on your phone? I could rip you a movie to watch on the flight..it might help..

The movie's nothing btw..I was farting about with the phone (bored) on the way up to Orkney last week and wondered what the mms video option looked like. So instead of pictures of wee dots (Keasy.. ), it's a video of wee dots and some bigger dots which are in fact, Orkney.

Ask for some some anxiety meds, like xanax, etc. Those would help, as long as you had someone on the flight with you and you didn't have to drive afterwards.
