Not a Rolls Royce by todays standards, but a feckin jet engine compared to the ole 939 Athlon 64 single core I've been running that past two years   

Can't wait to unpack my first 8GB Rar package to see how much quicker it is

It shall of course be the second game installed as it is now a tradition for me to install BF1942 with DC as my first game every new rig or OS install

My brothers PSU or mobo has just gone. I've only just replaced the PSU so I hope it's that and not the mobo as his mobo is a socket 939 too.

Should have plumped for the E8400 for an extra £3 And you really don't need that CPU cooler.

Been not a bad weekend, ended up showing my Dad my P60s and he was like 'hmm, you're on a Month Only taxcode' (well, was in 2006), so i should be owed a few hundred squids that could go towards my next PC! Woo!

Looks like a decent enough PC, Keas. I actually had a Scythe Infinity, but i stopped using it as it looked like it was gonna forcibly remove itself from the motherboard, and wasn't actually much better than the stock one lol!

Only problem is that i'll need DDR3, and with Nehalem it uses triple channel ram (3 sticks!). Think i'll probably upgrade CPU/RAM and Mobo, then wait for the 8800GTS to be unable to hold its own anymore and replace it.

I'm on an emergency tax code until it can be worked out what I should be taxed. So I should get some money back.

I'll be doing the same when Nehalem is released I wonder if DDR4 will be out by then? Depending on how much I have at the time I may upgrade my graphics too.

I know the stock HSF is enough Gaz lad, but I plan to OC the CPU and yes, I do know the stock HSF is also capable, but the controlability over the Arctic Freezer is brilliant and running it at half it's RPM is reputadely enough to still well OC the CPU but have the fan at a nice unoticable level of noise.
At least according to CPC the only mag I bother with these days.

I ain't playing on Thursday any more, it's only Monday, I don't have the rig built with the game installed yet and Tom is picking on me already.

Of course I jest, I can't deny him his credit after the years of ownage I've served him

eBuyer cancelled the order citing I already have an account with that card..thinking back, the last time I recall using eBuyer was when I bought Condor and his wee brother those PowerBalls.
I'm going to go through the account retrieval now and place the order again.

Nah, feck it  the original plan mate 

Will get x2 2gb ddr3 sticks when it falls in price.

The mobo only supports 2 slots for the ddr3 so will have to wait until I can afford 4 gig in the one go.
