't seems like the perfect balance 'tween WoW and CoD4 for a reason or another.  Still RPG stuff like WoW but based around fucking relentless action like CoD ....  It just seems a fun title to jump in for an hour or 2 and just have mindless fun ...

I can be wrong ofc but I think it might be my cup of tea indeed Keas....

I know a few people playing on Karak Azgal.

I won't be getting it myself though.

... I'm loving it ...

some FEKKING nice features:
-PvE quests are the same ol' same ol' but it's the way they are handled that are top notch.  You accept a q and on the map apears a red circle where you have to be aproximatly to continue the Q.  If you have multiple q's (like dOH) just hover over it and you see what q('s) you can complete in that red zone and what you have to do there.  Q objectives like WoW are shown to the right, but where in WoW it was max 5, here I saw up to 10 or so and I seem to have no limit on the number of Q's I can accept.  Spawnrate's are fast and furious (can be a pain) but a real fun feature is ... NO MORE HORRIBLE DROP RATE'S ... what you need is what will drop from the first fucking mob you kill!

-PvP, no BG entrances, just click an icon and your in the queue (the idiot that invented the spelling of that word should be shot btw ....).  Like WoW it has a similar honor system but here it's more converted to an xp like bar called Renown.  Just participate and it goes up gaining ranks allowing you to purchase items from a BG vendor.  Additionaly you can gain Renown abbility improvements by leveling through this system and YES it is totaly possible to level through max rank by doing PvP.  Another satisfying point is although there is a level cap on the BG's the game addapts your level to be competitive.  Ex: BG max level 11.  Level 1 joins and become's level 8.  Level 40 joins and become's level 11.  Fair system and makes it possible to do bg's from day 1.
Talking about PvP it had implications on ... your gear ... it does NOT deteriorate needing repairs... EVEN in PvE!  No more red gear and huge bills!

-RvR is similar to BG's, same Renown experience and same level upgrade(downgrade not shure) system if you enter a RvR zone.  RvR zone's are zone's on the maps that are contested with some objectives to capture and hold (at first glance).  More for large guild's IMO but could be fun if organized smile

-But the bread and butter to me are Public Quest's ... this will probably a mainstay for future MMO's.  Basicaly you run around the map and stumble upon Public Quest zone's (PQ's).  These seem to be divided in 3 stages with some objective's.  Everybody who enters these zone's can contribute to these objectives, no need to group and if you do decide to group there is another major system that'll make it to future MMO's me thinks: the open group system's.  Basicaly if you make a group it's automatically advertised in the zone.  Just click an icon under your character's portrait and it opens a list of all group's in the region, whether they are doing PvE, RvR or PQ's and what PQ they are on.  Next to those groups is a join button.  Click it for the PQ you want to do and ... TADAH your in.   ... no more "LFG" spam .....  For antisocial people there is ofc a possibility to lock down the group you created.
Back on the subject of PQ's.  If you get through the 3 stage's Ex: stage 1: Kill x orc's,2: grab y' explosive barrel's and 3: kill bos z the game has calculated your contribution and has administered you a nr of +0 to +500.  Next there is a roll for all participator's.  The contribution is added to it and a list of winner's is announced.  These can grab a loot bag from a chest.  They open the lootbag from their inventory and can choose one item from the bag that's theirs.  No arguements or ninja looting anymore, the game does it for you!
And if you think that's all?  There is also a seperate level meter called Influence which, if high enough, let's you select rewards from a PQ NPC.
I aplaud this game feature fullheartidly!

-Classes are fairly clasical based on 4 archetypes, tank, Healer, melee dps, ranged dps but all have their own personal twist on it.  Their are 20 classes in the game, 3 to 4 per race.  Magic based classes no longer use mana but like all other classes use Action Points comparable to a rogue which makes scaling of spell ranks far easier ... they just go up in effect and stay the exact same AP price!  Concerning spells/abbilities?  you just buy 'm once ... they scale automatically if you level ... (which helps with the BG's with the rank adjustment)

-Healers ... now they had some sweet nigga sugga love in this game namely targeting ...  It is possible to target an enemy and friendly at the same time making juggling offensive spells and heal spells just that more fun ...  Some classes are even build around that like the Archmage and Shaman who each get incremental bonus to their heals/offensive spells if they cast a number of offensive spell's/heal's!  Fun system!  And by no means are healer classes without their share off offensive DPS!
Concerning classes most of the classes are just plain fun, I'm having a hell of a time with my Dwarf Engineer with his turrets, gun's and grenade's.

That's about all I have touched in 2 small day's gaming but it is ALOT in my book ...

Basicaly they are making a game where you just can hop on for an hour and have PLENTY to do and hardly any time to be sitting idling around.
It might not be a hardcore MMO gamer's cup of tea for the level of easy mode they have put into this game but it's ideal for me!
It's like a shooter tbh ... weird comparison but hear me out.  What I mean is you just can do whatever you like whenever you like and still feel like ya did something in half an hour.  It feels like Team Fortress 2 ... tongue in cheek fast fun.

Now I'm shure Corroded will react to this but I have just one word for you mate "FOKOFYOU"  laugh
