I like honey roast ham myself.

Also, no pride about it, a bit of chopped pork with tomato on a sandwich.

I can't see me getting much joy out of finding a bit of corned gutty left in the fridge tbh. happy

Too many bad memories of boring sandwiches eaten on winter days on building sites.
(A bit of sliced ham could always be redeemed if you managed to find someone with slices of cheese on their sandwiches. You could divvy the contents up between you and use a fork to grill them against the gas fire in the bothy. Corned gutty just disintegrates into blobs of fat when you try that though.. scratchhead)

I've paid my penance. Wink

Try year after year of four slices of bread with wafer thin slices of either cheese, gammon, corned beef or a skim of jam to sustain you through a shift.
With that crap you needed a microscope to see where the two slices of bread were separated.

At least with something like egg & onion there was a bit of separation between the two layers of bread, but it was still cold comfort when the temperature was low enough that the milk for your tea had to be scraped out of the carton with a spoon. confused

isn't it Irish? St Patty was Irish, i also make boiled cabbage, supposed to bring wealth to the rest of the year.  Don't know why, must have been a tradition from the olde country.
