I'm talking about Company of Heroes and stand alone addon Opposing Fronts!
Recently reinstalled this title and still having a blast with it.
I'm crap at it, especialy verus the Panzer Elite, but I just love that RTS

Just wondering if anyone has it and feels up for some friendly matches?

If you never heard of it or never tried it at least install the demo and try that for you might be missing out on a real gem of a game ...  All the little intricacies of combat are just lovely with cover, flanking, supressing fire, artilery (the first time you hear the V1's stutter go to a halt your shitting yourself ...)

I've got it, haven't really paid much attention to it. Battle for Middle Earth beats it hands down.  tongue2

Liked the first CoH, no silly resource management.

Totaly agree on the resource managment side Keasy!
The basic concept of capturing sectors on the map and as long as you posses them they add income to you is pure genius.  It makes resource managment just part of your offense.  Especialy the fact that the sectors need to be linked to your home base makes room for cool tactics by isolating opponents sectors to bleed 'm dry...

Makes that much more sense.

So if you ever feel up for a friendly Keas or Condor?  I'm not the RTS wiz kid but could be fun for an evening smile

The 2 of you should take me on. Seeing as I've played pretty much nothing but RTS games and Guild Wars since I got a PC.  tongue2

remember there are 2 copies out which gives access to diferent "races" biggrin
the original game contains the American's and Wehrmacht
and Opposing Fronts consist of Brits and the Panzer Elite (mobile army)

they are both stand alone though smile

good idea mate cause the expansion's races ... are a bit more intricate, elaborating on the tactics of the original game
Basicaly Panzer Elite is a rush rush hit hard mobile early kinda race
Whilst the Brits just turtle and wait for the late game to unleash their wrath upon the enemy ...

American's and Wehrmacht are far more conservative unit/development wise and so easier to get into.  What's fun is, like said earlier about the resource managment we could play 2 v 2 (or more) and basicaly you would get the same amount of income out of the sectors in your team's possesion.  Ech can spend it as he see's fit on his troops.  So basicaly one member of the team could specialize in capturing and holding zones in the beginning, while the other prepares for a mid/late game assault on the opposition ...

Again .. pure genius in it's simplicity this game mechanic.
