Pretty good this movie it has to be said and who else better to play an emotionless alien than Reeves  laugh
I enjoyed it more than james bond but they could have had less of humans talking and more humans attacking something cause they don't understand it and then having our asses handed to us smile
Worth £10 to go see at a cinema?
Definitely!!

Me and Keasy went to see it last night at the IMAX.

I thought it was great myself, certainly better than Dark Knight and I'd give it 8/10. Cool

GORT looked amazing btw..

As for those critics, I think some of them are full of it.
It's a remake of a B-Movie that didn't have a great amount of plot in the first place, so what did they expect?
Times have moved on but there's an obvious point made (don't know how one critic missed it tbh...maybe the dick drives a Humvee) and Keanu was spot on for the part.

Aye.

Great movie.
Some amateur critics are to far up their own arses to be frank.

Reeves was perfect for the part. The original Klatu was aloof, weird, and so far removed from our reality that only Keeanu Reeves with his natural wooden ability could fill the role. He was brilliant at it.

Not once did the  escapist effect get broken with thoughts of ' wait a mo, that's blatant cgi'.  A rare event these days as cgi just gets ever more shit and obvious as we are all now so aware of it.
It's a great film and the only decent offering in the scifi genre in a long time.

I agree with the statement about critics. Sometimes you have to wonder if some of them even enjoy movies anymore. I frequently see reviews where the critics miss the whole point of a movie. It is for entertainment. Every movie does not need to be a statement of some magnitude. A movie just needs to tell a story we can enjoy with out critics over analyzing it.

Thanks Papa.
Your welcome, if WanK wants to pay me £10 to see new releases and review them I will be more than happy to  happy  Cool

certainly better than Dark Knight and I'd give it 8/10. Cool.

Surely not my good sir  Huh? I thought Dark Knight is probably the best movie that came out all year, only really because the Joker was so frikin awesome! ( I actually have a door poster of the joker in my room)

And therms right about film critics, I think they have come into a job where they're expected to be negative all the time and slowly but surely that negativity has just gotten to them and they no longer enjoy any movie.

It got very boring after a while and I found myself thinking "Just fucking shoot him (The Joker) and get it over with for Christs sake!"

His 'bike' was pish too.. Wink

Yeah don't get me wrong I hated the first batman and as far as super hero's goes Batman's definitely in the bottom 10 to make a movie out of!
That whole movie for me was only made good by Heath ledger and his portrayal of the joker, the reason batman made a good hero against him was that he (on some misplaced moral reason) couldn't shot him which is just as well cause the more joker the movies have in the future the better smile
