Author Topic: My router is a pain in the arse...  (Read 200 times)

For some reason it drops connection at random, even though the connections are wired. I mean don't get me wrong 80% of the time it works a treat but others it really does do yer tits in....


Any thoughts?

Surfboard or Scientific Atlanta modem?

Some surfboards have issues with requesting an new IP address too often, so the router bins the connection.

Contact Virgin and tell them you've used several routers (preferably from their approved list) and still the problem persists and you believe the modem is at fault. smile

At least you'll get a new modem out of it. Wink

(My sister had the same problem, I used two different routers and the problem persisted until they shipped her a new modem)
