I watched Nottinghill on tv tonight, I love that film.  Caught National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation yesterday too, peed myself laughing at it yet again.

Wooster just treated me, Belly, himself and Guderian to a night at the Imax to see Avatar.

It lives up to the hype, cinema has changed.

Story is weak at times, predictable etc, as Woosty said though it is suitable for 12 yr olds.

But it is mind blowingly brilliant looking!

The words 'a visual feast' sprang to mind regularly...it's damn near jaw dropping. Cool

In fact the more I think back on it, the more I'm appreciating how bloody spectacular it was. Cool Cool

(Took my eyes a wee bit to settle into the 3D gregory's though smile)

I saw it last night as well and thoroughly enjoyed it.  A great movie, the visuals are awesome.

@Condor.  I haven't seen it yet, but I've heard the same comment from other people.  And, then on the other hand I've heard some who loved it and were scared out of their minds.

Anything but scary Cat, there were the usual girly screams basically everytime there was a loud noise. The endings suck (depending on what one your cinema shows) and it's mind-numbingly repetitive beyond belief.

I was put off the moment Marc Kermode said 'It's no Blair Witch'.

I don't always agree with him, but you have to take note when he says that it's worse than a movie you regarded as a pile of shite anyway, even if he didn't.

Alvin and the Chipmunks 2  The Squeakuel.

It was great, the fact the kids were totality drawn in with the chipmunks and the chippettes just made it a happy family fun film where by I laughed at stuff I normally wouldn't.

Then there was moments that were genuine belly laughs, like when Dave played by My Name is Earl actor Jason Lee dances with his crutches in the air, I was knotted.

That would be the last Clint Eastwood movie that made me cry Sad.  He is banned from the house from here on tongue2

Mind you I think the worst film I've seen recently that had me in floods of tears was Marley And Me.  Rebecca and I had put it on and ordered a chinese - big mistake nowink.   We couldn't eat it for sobbing our eyes out blush.  Aileen got a major swearing when she got the dvd back tongue2
