Is there any issues running games on Stream with Windows 7 installed ? W7 is installed & running nicely but games I usually play on Stream won't load for some reason

Steam you mean?

I haven't noticed any problems myself mate, maybe try running the Verify Files utility it has.

Run it in Admin mode, even if you are an Admin. Mine wouldn't load until i ran it as Administrator. It needs to install a Service.

If I run in administrator I get this

"Do you want the following program to make changes to this computer?"

I hit yes & I then get the loading game thingy you get with Steam but nothing happens 

I take it I'm trying to run the game in administrator & not Steam it's self.

It might be a problem with the UAC (User Account Control), try lowering it or turning it off.

It's in Control Panel>User Accounts>Change UAC Settings (I turned mine off since I trust myself.  )

HL2 and most associated mods from the sdk engine have to be ran under admin mode  under steam.

I downloaded the demo Company of heroes which works fine but still no joy with Europa Universalis III which is weird. I try reinstalling tomorrow & see if that fixes it....

Oh & when I right click on the game icon it gives me a troubleshoot compatibility option

All sorted, deleted everything then reinstalled plus a new copy of directx which seems to have done the trick  Thanks for the help.

I forgot I'd installed this.. (some older games won't start if the system is missing some of the older DirectX
 files)
