Going through Star Wars blu rays and the original trilogy epsiodes iv to vi.  So far tranfsers are very good and even the creatures/special effects hold up very, very well.  Pleasantly suprised.

Man, I am so jealous. I have them all on tape and some on Dvd. I would love them on BR. That would mean buying them all again, again, again; but I'm guessing it would be worth it.

I reckon if you bought them once in one format (the DVD's were digitally remastered iirc) then you're entitled to download them in another (equal quality) format.

I was lucky as these were sent to me free as part of the deal on buying my Panasonic blu ray player over christams.    Just going onto Empire Strikes Back now.

I'd say it was fair use.
Shit I've bought some albums twice over the years, I'll be fucked if I'm going to pay for them again in MP3 format (or be arsed ripping them from CD).

Yeah, I agree. What retrieval software is.. ehem....."good" these days? I haven't used any thing like that in a long while. I think Keasy turned me right last time.
