Vista home

Where / How do I uninstall programs? The laptop has norton security suite pre installed from Dell on it and I want to uninstall it for my friend. I went to control panel but nothing there other than setting for program access. I only had like 3 min to look before he had to leave the office so if I sound like a total noob  :P

just switch it to classic view from category, and all will reveal itself if i remember...

category view sucks anyway...

erm, as i say, don't know my way round vista myself much... used it for two weeks or so, but thought it was shite.

I tried the classic view and didn't see programs listed. I will have a little more time tomorrow with the laptop but I agree its a shit upgrade to the OS. Things that used to take 1 or 2 clicks take 3 or 4 now  so much for convenience.

I finally found the add/remove programs once I had more than 3 min to look. I tried to use it to uninstall Norton and after 45min of it going through the process it was still there (it's only 23mb prog)  Angry .... ended up using a third party program to exorcise it from the system.

Ordered Vista Home Premium with the new comp.  Not looking forward to wrestling with that beast, but it has to be done some time.  Installed it on my mom's comp and it was truly annoying.

Im loving Vista tbh - cant see any degredation in speeds and its not given me a single problem (touch wood), if it does start playing up it will be removed...until then, Im happy!
