Fantastic quotes. Awe inspiring, I love this stuff.

I dont know who said it but I always refer: Reality is an illusion only made possible by our consiousness.
The smart arse chinese monk who came up with that one has vexed me throughout. I would love to kick sand in his softdrink but I know for sure the bugger will just gulp it down and tell me the sand is but a vexation in the reality of of his stomach ulcers and kidney stones.

Here is one you can use. "Never, never. Stick your fingers where you would not stick your dick".  Hey, It works, its is practical and is relevant to any person doing a trade and something you can live by.

Not so desirable if you're trying to stop some idiot swallowing his own tongue in a drunken stupor...

If you strike at, imprison, or kill us, out of our prisons or graves we will still evoke a spirit that will thwart you, and perhaps, raise a force that will destroy you! We defy you! Do your worst! -James Connolly

My favorite of late.

Hope itself is a species of happiness, and, perhaps, the chief happiness which this world affords; but, like all other pleasures immoderately enjoyed, the excesses of hope must be expiated by pain. ~Samuel Johnson

Did the man himself really say that? If so I would imagine myself taking up arms under his comand and going forward to attack the english bastards. Im a mere ozzie now, but by jeebers i have a celt in me somewhere. (as is plainly obvious by my large penis and love for yak milk) mmm. hangon. what you talk about round eye?

Should I become President...I will not risk American lives...by permitting any other nation to drag us into the wrong war at the wrong place at the wrong time through an unwise commitment that is unwise militarily, unnecessary to our security and unsupported by our allies.

John F. Kennedy, speech, New York Times, October 13, 1960.

It's better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all.
Hemmingway

My brother bought me a fridge magnet with this on it when my ex and I split up, it still makes me smile:
It's better to have loved and lost than to live with the psycho the rest of your life.

Everytime you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.

I back up the smile thing. A smile in the corridore on passing is worth millions. There is a girl who always keeps her eyes downcast and never smiles at passerbys like me. At first I thought she shy or maybe did not like men. But it appears she is an axe murderer from a past best forgotten and if you smile at her she will come to your cubical and cleft your head with an axe.

Edit: All sorts make up the northern territory public service, believe it.
