How can I copy more then one thing at a time and paste it on something else? Is this possible at all

In a windows shell you usually just hold down CTRL.
If it's a list, for example, holding CTRL will allow you to select items individually, if you hold down SHIFT then it selects everything from the first item clicked on, to the last item clicked on.
