This one really got me (not a first).
Tried every removal tool available. SpyBot S&D, Malwarebytes, Nod32, AVG, HijackThis and none of them could pick it up.
In the end, for sake of my sanity I got the client to indicate the files he needed backing up, put them on a DVD and nuked the drive.
I warned him that the virus may have carried over (a scan of the files revealed nothing), but frankly whose responsibility is that?
Was I glad to see the back of that machine! Even though I hate unresolved issues.
