I had a feeling this week would be good in the shop, and it was.
I sold a new Athlon machine at the last minute on Friday night to a very nice chap and his family. I could tell that the money was burning a hole in his pocket as he'd been in several times. He didn't need any sales chatter.
Economical dual core machines seem to be a winner.
Today a bloke brought his PC in thinking the PSU was dead. Unfortunately it was the mobo (the fourth ECS mobo that I've found to be dead) and I really hate having to tell them that, in spite of the fact that it means more business.
All in all, I can't complain smile

 Cool Cool

I'm not looking forward to next week.
Got a call yesterday from one of the engineers to tell me none of the new Cisco kit has arrived for a store that's due to open tomorrow and he's had to cobble the whole LAN together out of the stuff we've taken from other stores. Problem is some of this stuff is dead/dying, has different versions of the Cisco IOS on them and fibre and ethernet modules might be dead/incompatible with the newly installed cabling as well.
I have my fingers crossed that he's managed to get a working kit together or I'm onto a nightmare. confused

Sure it will be fine.

Could be worse you could have went there and found out that it was tomorrow it was happening. Unlike me who has just returned from a round trip to Peebles to find the install is happening tomorrow  facepalm. And after a 15hr shift last night this is not turning out to be a not so good week.

Glad to see someone is having better luck with work
