I was thinking of setting up a WAnK server in the hope that we faired better after the debatable so called dedicated server support for BC2.

If that wasn't dubious enough after finding out Activision and Treyarch have an exclusivity deal with GameServers.com when looking into hiring I find out ranked servers are 18 players max and unranked 24.

What a fucking rip off cop out pile of tripe.
Dedicated servers ? My fucking arse.  IWNet would be better than so called 18 man dedicated servers, it's fecking pathetic.
Again consoles bleed over into the realm of the PC. It's only 18 man servers becasue they haven't bothered their fat lazy fucking so called PC supported arses to implement netcode that allows true dedicated server support. It's just expensive console  p2p code under the banner of dedi to make more cash or fool idiots that believe at 18 slots it's really PC orientated.
