I find it's death to massage the ego of a trophy hunter rather pointless myself.

If the killing of such animals for sports generates revenue and helps manage population and is humane, such as shooting I have no objections.
But in this particular case I'd obtain far greater pleasure from seeing such a wonderment in it's living beauty and awe in it's brilliance. Compared to looking at some antlers on some wall.
