David Cameron and co.
Housing benefit being cut.

I mean don't get me wrong, there has to be some sort of back up that stops people from being made homeless but £400 PW...yes  PER WEEK is fucking more than enough.
I can only dream of that kind of cash going toward  my mortgage it's also more than my monthly wage. In fact that's the cap, some folks are on more than that at the moment.
It's greedy arsed landlords growing rich from the state, because of lack of government led housing schemes.
But that just can;t go on, as a pseudo  socialist  I'm into fairness and this is not. Alternative housing needs found I know it's just as simple as saying it's not fair but I know of a few lazy arse arseholes that neither have worked nor want to, have sprogs here there and everywhere and they get better houses than I !
Jealous much ?
Fuck yeah!

Funny part is, London way you won't get rent for a place for less... the complain is it could force people to move. It's not £400 a week anyway, is it, I was under the impression it was £400 per Month.

Incidentally, I do find it massively hilarious labour whining about cuts, etc. Yes. They do suck. Yes, they are all your fault.

There'll be a double dip recession!!!! Economy grows.
You can't gamble on growth by making cuts!!!! As opposed to fake growth by creating debt?

They really should learn to keep quiet on the economy for now. They have absolutely no credibility on such matters, and are solely responsible for buttraping an economy into submission. The bankers might have been the catalyst, but if we hadn't been overspending our GDP by 20% for 10 years we probably wouldn't be in quite such a mess.

Housing, ah yes now let me think didn't the UK have a whole fleet of affordable council houses back in the '80s. Erm yes I think they did, in fact I am absolutely certain they did. If I remember correctly Along came dear Maggie who sold these houses at vastly discounted prices. In moved the life assurance companies, sir now you are a home owner you need this endowment policy to cover your life so that if you die the mortgage will be paid off and your spouce won't be homeless . Another benefit sir is that we project that this policy will be worth a lot lot more when it matures and will give you a nice nest egg for when you retire, as well as paying off the mortgage.

Oh dear what a complete and utter fuck up, the responsibility for this lies with the Tories of the 80s who gave us this culture of greed.

What needs to happen is a cut in child benefits. First child at £20 second at £10 then any more & you fund your own & no more 3-4 or five bedroom houses because you have a lot of kids. They also have to close the loop hole of people not working when they have kids under 5 as this just encourages people to pop a baby every five years to stop having to working.

As for council house's they should review the circumstances of the people living there every five years as there are council houses around here with BMW 4x4 sitting in the drive way ohmy If you can afford the payments on a 30k motor then you can afford a mortgage or private rent.

& reopen the pits so we have somewhere to send the kids in the summer holidays tongue2

I approve, sort of.
I approve of the cap too. It's £400 per week. A £200k mortgage is under £1k/m but if you're bringing in £1500pm what do you do?
I think it should apply to new applicants only. It should be weighted to local conditions. London is always extra expensive. Landlords should be much more heavily regulated as they are in the rest of Europe where buying your house isn't so common.
If it does happen as is predicted and people are forced to move the TV cameras will film families being torn weeping from their homes to be relocated. Those images will reverberate for decades.
