Nice one Joe! Current news topic? You decide.
I personally think that some of these leaks are counter productive, damaging to security and are released purely for the drama they create. We all want to know the truth, but do we need to know certain truths? In the fog of war, many outrageous events take place, but is it not dangerous to place sensitive information in the hands of the enemy?

If the information endangers lives of troops on the ground nope, I'd rather we were kept in the dark. One life lost through the info being spilled is one life too many in my book.

When security is compromised it's a downright danger.
Agree with the original premise but it's way beyond that now.

Over here, we read with interest that The US State Dept is concerned about the 'mental state' of Argentina's President, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner. I'm reliably informed that she is bi-polar, which I wouldn't wish on anyone, but as you can imagine, the press being mainly anti gov over here, are lapping that one up!

"When security is compromised it's a downright danger." i agree on that.
Not having read it as yet but if all they are doing is taking piss on what they think they should tell each other that face to face instead of chicken shit mails.
I did here there were stuff about one country trying to get the US to attack an other- Iran i think just proves what dicks we have running the countries too

Wonder if he'll be subject to an assassination attempt at some point? Be a damn shame if he did. The current preferred method by The West for this kind of this appears to be a motorcycle approaching the target's car and sticking an explosive charge on it. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ap/top/all/7315786.html...to be honest, the first thing that occurred to me was that it sounded like one of those 'no fucking about' Israeli missions, so I can't say I blame them.

He'll need to watch his back, that's for certain. I also like what Berlusconi has been saying: 'It's disgraceful to say that I was ever involved in any wild parties.' ....and even more entertaining, he goes on to say 'They're probably quite interesting but I've never had the chance to get involved in one....'
Yeah, sure................

It's horribly fascinating to see what the governments are saying but if someone had taped my conversations as a teacher when I was venting my thoughts on this kid or that set of parents I'm pretty sure I'd be livid if it were made public. Even politicians have to be able to say what they think when they regard it as a private remark.

I couldn't care less if my personal opinions were made public..they already are tbh. I'll stand by them while I think they are true or apologise if I'm wrong.
We're only human at the end of the day.
Honesty is an asset that's sadly lacking in many public figures today. They're mostly two faced bastards (/puppets).

What a load of horse shit.
Do you honestly believe that somehow, somebody has somehow come into contact with top secret intelligence? Internet or not, the very name WIKILEAKS says it all.
I believe that this is actually being controlled and leaked deliberately by the current American administration.
The current American president promised that he would make American Government more transparent and open in the lead up to his election. He is delivering. And all the people with something to hide are scuttling for a position under a protective rock.
The rock is being lifted. Time to face the sunlight.
