Would never happen here.
It's happened in Russia because they've got balls!

The British government would crap themselves and grovel in fear of any fat cat business man, let alone hold them to account and take them to court.

Agree ?

Then again you may believe it's becasue he's a supporter of the opposition.

"Khodorkovsky has said that a state that destroys its best companies and trusts only the bureaucracy and the special services is a sick state."

^ but that shit sounds similar to the shit the likes of Rupert the poof bear Murdoch would spout. Okay perhaps a bit more extreme but similar none the less.

True.  Still makes you wonder if he's is in there for political reasons though.  Would of thought with all the money he had he'd of paid someone to break him out by now.  Guess that only happens in films smile

It's weird when I read he was the richest man in Russia.  Then thought, that would kinda be like sending Bill Gates to prison.  I was just trying to compare in my head someone as rich.

But yeah, if he's guilty then yeah he should be in.  And yes, the UK is to scared.  Probably because it's not in their best interests to put the likes of these people in prison.  Making them as bent as the people they should be putting in prison.  Bit like the Sky deal currently going on.

Two things here. 1) Complete lack of due process of law and 2) Russia has the worst reputation for this exact political assassination. Why not hold their nuts to the grind stone like you would for any other modern democracy? Corruption can't be trusted to police itself. The Russian's have no reason to be truthful if they aren't called out on every suspicious action. IMO, it's corrupt and I won't believe a word either side says until it's made viably truthful.
