Don't know if it's wishful thinking, but I've noticed a marked performance increase. Loading times etc
Was going the whole hog to 8Gb, but couldn't afford it. One slot left.

I didn't notice a single thing dropping from 6gb to 4gb when I switched from DDR2 to DDR3 (granted)
Though, I do want to go to 8gb soon though =]
