Aye, but I've completed almost everything in Fallout 3 and want to keep it going. 

I've never played any of the fallout games? Recommended then?

Personally I think it's the best SP game I've played since HL2.


...So good I bought it twice in fact. 
I bought the vanilla game only a few months before they released the GOTY edition and it worked out a few quid cheaper to buy that instead of the expansions individually.

I think I had the same problem of CTD I did the compatibility trick.  Try Properties on the shortcut > Compatibility tap >  Run as Win XP.

They were both awful.  Even when I was level 30!
