The students might have an argument over the uni' fee rise as that is potentially going the way of America with high Uni' fees. However, American Uni's are MASSIVE because of this funding. I went, just to visit a friend, Northern Kentucky Uni' and that was apparently one of the smallest Uni's in the US, but to me, it was massive still. However, I think with high fees, someone like me who wouldn't of been able to afford it, would never have gone. Even though I only did a year at Uni' and it was only to finish off a HND (odd that it was at a Uni' but still), if the fees had been high I wouldn't of gone.
However, it was just on the news about college kids moaning about the scrapping of EMA's. WTF!!! All they got was £30 a week anyway. One dick said "At the end of the day, if I was getting money for going to college I might be more likely to attend classes". College is a fucking choice. You go because you want to learn more so you should be going to fucking lessons anyway. Not only that but do you know how you cope and solve this? Get a FUCKING PART TIME JOB you lazy fucks!
I spent about 5 years at college doing 3 IT courses (1 year I fucked up so had to retake). How did I fund it? I got a fucking weekend job that paid me about £35 a day at Waitrose, that's how I fucking funded it. Two nights a week (Fri and Sat). So get a fucking job. I'm normally fine with students but moaning about this thing is fucking stupid. And speaking of Waitrose

as you own part of the company when you work there, you get a bonus each year, which is worked out by how much profit John Lewis makes in the year and how many hours you work. Work more hours, you get a bigger bonus. I used mine to fund my trip to the US. Only did 2 nights a week so only got about £250 but that's £250 for fuck all

it's an incentive for people that work at Waitrose and John Lewis to work harder to try and make the company more of a profit.
