Every now and again FIFA11 seems to crash on the PS3, I don't know if this is down to the PS3 or the disc, seems to play blu-ray movies fine
Is that a disc problem or PS3 problem?

Well if everything else works fine I'd say disc. Unless you've downloaded any addons for it and they've become corrupted on the HDD.

If everything else is working OK then it could be a bad install or bugs in the game.
Google for FIFA 11 bugs.

I dunno if it is just FIFA, since I don't want to get anymore games. I am mainly trying to use this as part game/movie centre |

Is the firmware up to date? I bought a ps3 as a multi media hub. its become my main gaming platform, as well as media playback. I wouldn't be without it now

I think it was because the unit was heating up even on standby which caused it to keep freezing, not doing it with the brand new unit
