Well the   game Ive been waiting for is finally (hopefully) getting released this year. Using the frostbite update 2 engine promising to take destuction to a whole new level, More details to be released 1st March.

Yup, I read over a year ago that it will be released in august this year.

It's defo the next big game on my list. Here's hoping it's a good one.

And here's hoping a certain someone will buy it on the PC eh mate ?

I thought some of the BF2 maps were pretty good. Strike at Kharkand was friggin awesome. So was the one with the construction site where you could climb the cranes.

Its alright for some, Ive got to buy it twice pc and ps3. Bfbc2 cost me a new gfx card as well. Lets hope it can handle bf3

Disagree, BF2 was great and the best online fps experience I've ever enjoyed to-date.

For me the fact that some of the maps will carry over is great, as my biggest concern is that BF3 loses the vastness of BF2.  Huge battle maps is a critical must for me.

Considering well... Battlefield is now Call of Duty, it'll suck in either the "oh, I'm not quite Call of Duty, but not quite as refined" or suck in the "I'm a vehicle based game, and none of my vehicles are any fucking good so you might as well be on foot"... I'm still bitter after Battlefield Vietnam, and Battlefield 2.

Mods have always made Battlefield, and they don't exist any more... and judging by how Frostbite works, seems unlikely that we'll get the ability to do total modification, unless they ground up rewrite Frostbite.

It is indeed ironic that the best Battlefield game was the first one, and even more ironic that the best few versions of it were mods. BF2 is pathetic in comparison.

BF2 was a cracking game for me.

No body understand Chris.

You had to be there to experience the lengthy  wait we had for BF2, totally expecting something different yet the same as DC as Dice had led us to believe, heck they even took on Trauma. What we got was new graphics, shit physics, under powered tanks and an incredibly annoying inertia.

We were geared up for almost a year for BF2, it let us down badly 

I too am still bitter about it.
The bastards made helos the realm of the nub that anyone could jump into and fly. Pah ! No more impressive circle strafe or hover capture.

One mans nub controls is another mans accessibilty, but yeah they were easy to fly. Once remember flying a blackhawk and doing a barrel roll to evade a j10s missile, awesome moment as i was upside down the missile passed beneath me, I hope they put in single player area to practice in,
