Anyone on the 50mb VM service, can you test your upload speeds for me please ?
Is our area upgraded to the faster uploads yet ?
I'm getting poor results.

Under half a dozen users bitching on a backwater forum is going to make about fuck all of a difference imo (given that many have been trying for months on Virgins official forum)
Of course that just a rule of thumb..

I wanted to know if my uploads were normal or not compared to others in this area. Who said anything about it making a difference ? Me having a point of reference to compare locally by those who have had the service longer is not trying to make a difference. It's me finding out if my upstream is normal in relation to others here, without the twat contingent you always get in other forums. Sorry for asking my friends a simple fucking request. You were also forewarned.. And don't speak to me like a kid either mate, eh ? thanks. |

 The highly ironic thing about this being I'd settle for the line speed, if that ping wasn't so jank. Course, I do get O2 Broadband this week, in literally spitting distance from the exchange. Should be about 17mb I believe. Oh how I'm going to be so happy.  Comedy. You should see a netgraph in Source. I can get sub 100 pings, but sometimes the graph does spike to above the crosshairs. There is a good reason why I don't game much at the mo, it's unpossible. |

I told you there's major problems with the service and that the Virgin forum is filled with complaints about it, and no resolution apart from what I said on the phone last night about the firewall. I also said it's so bad that some people are downgrading or cancelling their upgrade. Don't shoot the monkey when you should be directing your anger at the organ grinder bud. p.s. Bite my banger.  |

p.p.s. Mine went down completely last night as well, rebooted it a few times and it would connect for a bit but in the end I gave up and went to bed. You've just started your contract so you might be in with a chance of getting an Ambit 300 (as virgin call it) modem. There's the odd post about people managing to get one (after complaints and threats of cancellation) over in the virgin forums. Apparently they work fine right out of the box..unlike the Supershit Hubs.  |

It was after 10 last night that it went down totally for me, but there was the odd problem just before that. Tbh I'm kind of 50/50 about the 'upgrade'..the speed is good when it's stable, but the SuperHub is utter junk.  |

I am getting damn near my expected (5mbit) upload and I definitely get my download.
I'll do a proper speedtest when I get home tonight to confirm and get any other stats if you're interested.
