Do you have the Ambit 300* or the Superhub, Flibberdy? *From what I've read it's a Netgear, but Virgin call it an Ambit..  |

You don't want one..honestly. I've always been a bit dubious with Speedtest.net tbh..thinking that if their servers are being hit hard, then it wouldn't be very accurate. Anyhoo, Here's Speedtest.  But this a a Newsgroup d/l immediately after.  |

 Nice one..  Btw..I usually use the Manchester server..for some reason it's in the back of my mind that there's a fibre link from here that terminates down there. It's probably false, but it's there (in my head) anyway.

From what I've read, it's the standard kit they ship out for the bigger packages at the moment. What to do is tell them you don't want the package if it comes with a Superhub and you want the modem only or you'll cancel and look for something else.. Then again it's only an extra quid you're paying, so that would be so insane that only an idiot would buy that argument. ..keep trying until you get through to their Indian call centre? Honestly, there's no simple solution here. You really want the Ambit modem, it's just a matter of finding a way to get them to supply one instead of a Superhub. |
