Winter is coming!

I don't mind airing my favoured  fundamental politcal ideals.
Care to share ?

I'm a communist liker but not totalatranism you understand, I am not a red or a pinko but, I am without a doubt a socialist, it's in my heart and I believe in the fairer distribution of wealth, not equal.

Recent British politics hinder me from easily commiting my votes to socialist based parties though and the outright SSP - Scottish Socialist Party are a bunch of nuggets who should just admit they are blatant pinkos. The Scottish labour party play underdog to Westminster to easily and I have no other choice than the Scottish Nationalist Party, Conservative or Liberals...niether of whom confer with my basic ideals.

I may escercise my right not to vote next time...we can do that here  biggrin

There isn't a perfect political system anywhere in the world. What I would love to see for the entire world is a totally free education system including universities and advanced studies. Under any system education makes or breaks you. Communism and Socialism both have good points but at the same time they can hold a person back from achieving personal greatness. If everyone had the same opportunity for education or training then what they make of it from that point on is up to them.

I could be classed broadly as a socialist, I believe that the Unions have an essential role to play, I believe in the welfare state and a fair days pay for a fair days work (regardless of country of origin, if you work here, you get the going rate).
I also believe in the free market but think that some essential parts of our society should be allowed to operate as a monopoly (like the National Health Service, the Post Office etc..)

btw: Education in Scotland up to and including University is free.. Wink

socialists - liberalists - democrats - ecologists - conservatists - communists - ...

principals/beliefs who get fucked up by greed/powerhunger ... (same as religion)
A desire to please the biggest audience possible fronting 'beautifull' women like Freya Vandenbosche, eyecatchers, keeping us dumb.  Hoping people wont see past the facade and the empty promises.  Getting in a scandal?  Just keep a low profile for a time and get back into the power race, people forget anyway.  Debates? Why dont they hold 'm publicaly like we used to ... or let viewers/outsiders jump in and ask some questions political journalists don't ask anymore cause they get anal pleasure from the parties they interview?

Too much frustration to have any sort of political persuasion apart from if my small circle of family/friends can easely be provided with al their desires ... does that make me an apathist?

I'm a democrat, which means I have some socialist tendencies, but I'm also a capitalist.

Just watching a programme about political accountability and our utter lack of any statutes in law which requires politicians to tell the truth.

No surprises there eh?

What does come as a surprise is that one of the biggest tactics among politicians when it comes to election time (one of the few occasions when they might be held accountable), is to convince voters that it is a complete waste of time bothering to vote at all!
The less people who vote the better, since it's far easier to manipulate or pander to the few rather than the masses...

...so if you cba voting, then you might as well bend over and get ready to take a dry humping. dry

I'm a very sociable liberal democrat with a tendency to want all the power to myself.

Democracy is two wolves and a rabbit voting on what is for lunch.

Liberty is a well armed rabbit contesting the vote!

Socialism is the rabbit getting the two wolves together and convincing them to take care of the rabbit.
