How do I get rid of the annoying translate tool tip that keeps popping up  I've removed google toolbar & reinstalled but it keeps appearing.  |

I'd assume it was a setting that goes along with your google toolbar. Try the settings on that?

I can turn it off in setting but each time I restart FFox it's there again |

I've been doing that mate Have you any add-ons (Tools>Add-Ons>Extensions) that are translating tools? Have you set you default language in Tools>Options>Content>Languages? |

The only add on I have is the tool bar & the other one is set to default Anyway of removing the translate bit from the tool bar |

Just remove the toolbar completely?
(Is there anything on it you use that isn't there already?)
Remember there are two versions of FF you can use at the moment, the 3.xx release and the 4.xx release, so you could switch to the other.

When it appears, click on the disable link.
you will be presented with an options screen that pertains to translation of certain languages.
There is an exceptions list, English will be in the list, probably the only one.
It may not be set so highlight it by left clicking on it once then select the save button.
