I have a cheap shite case though Grant. It has about the same airflow properties as a block of cement.

New temps.

The side of the case is never on. I never put it on anymore for the fact I'm too lazy to take it off if something needs done.  tongue2

*Edit* After just under 10 mins of Blops online the temp was 65.

Thought the cases were designed for a proper airflow to cool it most efficiently? Therefore, try putting the side of the case on and it should cool?

It chops and changes every few years, depending on the tides and the star signs.

I tend to be of the school of thought that a large gaping hole in the case tends to be fairly good at cooling, but as always just run a check... see which comes out best =]

If you have a positive pressure case taking the side off is detrimental. If you have a negative pressure case taking the side off may help.

Exactly my thoughts. My case is designed so that it's best cooling is with the side on. That way, all my components are actively cooled.  smile

I've still yet to see an emergency cooling issue by sticking a desk fan by the open side of a case though! =]
