'An how faust kin it ging?'

« on: April 19, 2011, 02:24:17 AM »

In the cocaine fuelled 80's there was a hell of a mix.

Trio - Da, Da, Da

"A dozen notes, two letters?" It's a fucking hit!  (have a cigar!) tongue2

Disco/Funk tried to hang on..

Kool & The Gang - Celebration

Rock went all spandexy and corpsy

Alice Cooper ~ Poison (Lyrics)

AOR went a bit soppy

REO Speedwagon - Keep On Loving You

...and sometimes performed in a HL2 set. tongue2
Toto - Rosanna (HQ Audio)

The romantics went all European (and corpsey):
Visage - Fade To Grey

Reggae thought it was still in with a chance:

RED RED WINE (ORIGINAL)

..eeeww.
Cutting this off right here and now.
I was going to hit the shitty end of the 80's (and christ knows there was loads of it) stick with stuff like Kelly Marie, but I ran into kajagoogoo and actually listened to the lyrics that I'd ignored 20 years ago, and it's turned my guts..

So I'm out.  smile

Metal did extremely well  Cool

Pop wise...  this was good:

True of most decades.

Age & memories affect the old music & you may find yourself singing along to something that turned your stomach at the time but now reminds you of an old episode in your life.
