Thank you Wooster for bringing this forwardssssssssssss........... First of all, this is an experiment in interest. The one clog in the wheel from what I've seen is the prevalence of Nokia/Symbian over there. Here Nokia never hit it big. We'll see what happens now that M$ and Nokia have announced plans for a windows phone. Anyways, I would like to see a mix of cool Android, RIM, Symbian, Windows and iPhone apps posted here. Stuff that you think is cool and or might be useful to someone else. My favorite lately is Lucyphone. It's the sweetest software in that all you have to do is dial up a company that puts you on long hold, hit a button, drop the phone in your pocket or on bluetooth and they hear every 30 seconds "This is lucyphone and you are on hold, push one and the person calling you will pick up". I've tried this on three tech support lines in the RV industry where wait times are considerable and they've all(so far) responded well. The cool thing is I just hit the button while on hold and ignore the phone until it rings back. Little time wasted. I've got 225 apps on my phone now that I rotate in and out. I always want to hear about more. The web site is a little gayish, but once you get past the looks and use it for a good purpose, it matters little. http://www.lucyphone.com/edit*Droid And iPhone

Cool idea.
I don't have an android in my pocket or an I in my breeches but I would like to add tat this sticky is not a forum for debate on which platform is best. All apps are posted on their individual merit.

I found this one and I was instantly pumped because it was so accurate. DaTuner. It literally lets you tune any pitch or any note on any equipment or instrument. My son uses it to tune his guitar and he now swears by it. http://www.androidzoom.com/android_applications/music_and_audio/datuner-chromatic-tuner_qmqd.htmledit*Droid

Awesome add Keasy. I am completely platform agnostic and I hope everyone else will be. Maybe we should head up every post with applicable OS?

Defo, no point in submitting an app without the relative details.

I was going to add that in the OP, but considered our members are bright enough to figure it out for themselves.

Hijpo, thanks for posting. If you have any other question or cool finds, would you post those up in here. Also, since I'm a demanding bastard, would you add you phone and OS version? Mine is Droid X, Ginger bread(rommed, stripped, streaking for pleasure and overclocked to 1.2)

2.2~ it's gingerbread. Although not completely up to date. If you go to menu, settings, about phone and then update, you can check from there if you have an update to dl. As far as roms, I can link you to multiple images once I get home. Once you rom, you'll never go back. It makes the phone so frickin' speedy. I'm running liberty right now, but I just jumped off of cyanogen. It takes half an hour the first for the whole process but only because you backup your original image. I would get used to your phone first, that way you know the real difference when your rommed. It helps when trying to pick the one where everything works correctly. You can root it first with out hurting it. That gives you complete control with out changing the image

As mentioned earlier my Nokia N95 is Symbian os and I've yet to find any decent free apps for it. Installed Fring, but I could never get Skype to work with it, which was the object of the exercise over a wifi connection. http://www.fring.com/

Doesn't your phone have to be rooted(jail broken) to use skype over wifi?
