Just looking at the party lists for the regionals and this sort of stuck out for Mid-Scotland & Fife. Party: Scottish Christian Party "Proclaiming Christ's Lordship" Oksana Jemeljanova Clement Adebeyo Jemeleatha Sophonia Maria Hechavarria Diana Ama Ofori A very Scottish sounding crowd, aren't they?

I thought they would win but FARKIN ELL !" Scotland has spoken BIG words with this result (so far) First look at the map (all that yellow) http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/special/election2011/overview/html/scotland.stmNow the wee results at a glance bar (top right) http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/scotland/scotland_politics/ TBH when lying in bed last night I regretted not giving SNP my full vote and it looks my regrets were unfounded. I blame the Lib Dems climbing into bed with the Tories as much as I credit the SNP for a strong past term for a minority government. That arsehole Pentland only held on for Labour by 600 counts...We're Labour heart land so even that is a brilliant result for the SNP.

I wasn't expecting that at all. Labour, Tories and Lib Dems all got their arses handed to them, and all that's left to maybe redeem them are the list votes for the regions (due in at half three). That arsehole Pentland only held on for Labour by 600 counts...We're Labour heart land so even that is a brilliant result for the SNP.
I demand a recount..

Of course the irony here is that Labour came up with the voting system we use in order to prevent any party (namely the SNP) from winning an overall majority. ..the SNP got caught out a bit in the North East. Having won all the Constituency seats, it was reckoned to be impossible to win any additional seats in the Regional list. Upshot was they did win one, and the SNP candidate had to rush over to hear the result in his jeans and a t-shirt.

Labour were so pig thick stupid and maybe even arrogant expecting a rise in votes as they thought the only way was up that they committed the cardinal sin of Scottish elections. They failed to back up their constituency votes with list votes as a back up. Everyone does it even the most powerful well known names try and run twice. David McLetchie got booted out on his constituency and scraped back in on the list. Labour are totally decimated because they failed to give themselves a back up as if they didn't need it edit-------------- Sorry about the flowery language but fuck me!

Labour say it's in the party rules that the main candidates don't get to stand in both unless in exceptional circumstances. Madness if you ask me. Btw, the sniping has already started by some ill informed English MP's who clearly don't understand that the SNP were so solidly voted in, not because of their stance on independence, but because the people of Scotland thought that they were the only party who had our best interests at heart. You'd recognise the patronising 'uppity Scottish turds have got a bloody cheek' kind of tone, with calls (Who the fuck are they to demand?) that we have a referendum on independence tomorrow, despite the fact that the SNP have already said that they're going to leave that until we have a chance to sort out more pressing matters.

I suppose my weekly reward for being a tax paying contributive member of society is under threat now that the NATS are in majority power in Scotland. Goodbye affordable booze. BTW I DO mean affordable booze, not cheap booze. The SNP will probably pursue this again and have it passed. Bad news for me. I'm going to pay the price for the jaikster assholes. The means and idea behind it are admirable, no doubt, but in practice it will hit us boozers who can least afford it the hardest. Good for you if your income affords you a dispose that allows you to continue with your habit. But if you can afford it to not actually affect your habit then it really doesn't have an impact on you at all, as you can afford it not to. I reward myself with an expensive drink at the weekend as is. I can ill afford to subsidise anyone else, let alone multi million pound profit supermarkets.

Team Scotland! I do think that speech reflects him as a man that is genuinely moved by the support he received.
