You sign up to this
free service through British Telecom and you share some of your wireless bandwidth with any members in the area needing wireless access, in return you also get to use the true BT wireless hotspots (Openzone).
People who don't share can buy time from BT, or if you are on another ISP you can buy a fon router.
On the face of it, it looks like a good idea.
But I'm a suspicious bastard and I always get the feeling that there's an angle somewhere that these companies are exploiting.
