Winter is coming!

Next time you disagree with the governemnt and think...wait...I didn;t vote for that policy. Stop think and remember ...

You had the chance to voice your opinion representatively and not as some single vote for a party in power.

Why Britain voted no to AV is beyond me.

Don't complain the next time your elected FPTP party goes against their manifest mandate because they simply can.  You had the chance to vote for an in-between idealogical  comprise.

One man one vote one complete power without the representing any doubts you may have about that party.

Feck.

Can't get over the fact we had a chance to be more representative of what the people think and not just a parties over all right to do what they want!

If you voted no to AV then feck you, don't dare question the next party you vote in to power under FPTP. You did after all have the option to make it more across the board represent the peoples choice in ALL matters, not just the ones you decided to hand it to them on a complete power filled plate.

It's akin to saying...here's my vote so hence here's my right to dispute you.

AV failed AV was the closest to true democratic representation we ever had.

 Sad

It's sort of... well... interesting that basically the only party that tends to get about...oh, 30% of the vote... well... got about 30% in this referendum.

It wasn't in Tory or Labour voters interests to make things fairer, the governments have spent years fiddling boundaries and making it so they can get the most constituencies for the fewest amount of votes, with the least amount of competition. Note how as soon as Labour got in, they split lots of stronger Tory areas off into big areas to not compete with Labour highly contested areas, or bumped areas which stand no chance of ever not voting Tory into massive Labour strongholds. There was little boundary giggling where I'm from though, since that area is so blue you wouldn't believe it. I'm surprised labour run candidates at all.

Oxford is a good example.

Proves the point towards ever increasing PR voting mechanisms.

AV is rubbish. There are better forms of PR out there.
