This Imperator is probably the last Razer product I'll buy, they're overpriced shit. The problem is when dragging and selecting cells or text in stuff like MS Exel, Visio or a browser window. It'll select so much, suddenly break lock, and start selecting from where it broke off. It also does something very weird in Visio, it can sometimes copy and paste a shape while you are moving it...honestly WTF is that about? I plugged in my old MX518 and it works perfectly and, thinking it might have been the Razer drivers, I uninstalled the drivers and used the Windows default ones, but it didn't help. -edit- Looks like I'm not alone and this bloke may have a solution: http://www.orthogonalthought.com/blog/index.php/2010/10/fixing-the-razer-copperhead-or-razer-diamondback-double-click-problem/-edit-edit- I gave it a blast with air duster and now it's fucking worse. You have to really lean on the button before it'll register a click. What a piece of shit.

One thing I'll give Microsoft... their mice are good, except the overpriced gamer shit they buy off Razer.
Intellimouse Explorer 4 or now lesserly, the Intellimouse Optical.
I'm going to buy a couple I think so I have a spare lol

I love M$ mice they really are the only ones that sit comfortably for me and I love the build, they always feel hard wearing. They are I've only ever had three mice all M$ becasue they last so long.
M$ ball mouse, the best turret turning mouse ever for tanks in DC, I could swipe the mouse along my desk and the ball would spin in it's little pocket/hole thing and turn the rollers inside so my turrets turned uber quick !
Second mouse was my optical intellimouse 1 that only died two months ago. Well it didn't die it still works, the feet were eventually worn away. Could have boght new glides but fancied an upgrade to a sidewinder.

I like my Logitech G7 Cordless. IT has never given me any problem and it does exactly what I want it to do.

Why do I feel so left behind? My 518 still works as good as ever and I've never seen any reason to get a new one(it was replaced under the og 3 yr warranty several years ago and it keeps tanking along). When it fails, I may change. But I have used a few mouses and once you get past a certain sensitivity setting, they're all the same except feel and buttons. I'm not an mmo player, so this think does the job. The side buttons are perfectly placed for bash, knife, etc...

I fell back on my trusty old 518 when the Razer got RMA'd.
The reason for the change was due to the side buttons funnily enough, on the 518 (and others) the forward thumb button is too far forward for me to use easily, but you can slide them back on the Imperator.
