The brother in law's old man got a hire in the taxi the other week there, I don't know exactly what went down, but the hire bailed out without paying. Charlie got out and started shouting that he was wanting paying but they shot at him an put a hole in the bonnet of the car. He reported it to the cops and they told him to forget about it and fix the car himself. WTF!!!  What kind if half arsed shithole policing is that? ..the bastard even dropped their wallet in the taxi which was duly handed over, so they didn't even have to go to the fucking trouble of trying to find out who did it.  Unbe-fucking-lievable. |

They shot at a taxi driver? where was this? I think the hire was in Carluke. The hole is about 12" down from the windscreen on the drivers side. Thing is, it didn't go straight through. It's ricoche'd off after carving a hole, so it could have gone through the windscreen. (You can even see the copper marks from the jacket around the hole.) |

I thought the same, but the only thing I could come up with is that maybe they're under investigation by another branch.
That doesn't wash though, because you'd think that pulling a gun and shooting at a taxi driver would override any concerns about stepping on another departments toes/investigations.

If this happened here (which it does every day!), the police simply wouldn't bother unless there was something in it for them.
But in the UK, which doesn't have a gun toting society afaik, this is amazing!
