I don't believe they are full fresh releases, but are instead more like revisions. Sort of more along the lines of Chromes model. Releasing a "new" version once a month.  Wink

Seamonkey is the rebranding of the Mozilla Suite.

It changed names after Firefox became the flagship browsers at Mozilla. When everyone realised they hated the 95 things bundled with Mozilla Suite.

Mozilla is just copying the naming convention Google use for Chrome. The point is though, Mozilla also haven't gotten away from the version number like Google have. Did anyone apart from me even know they are up to Chrome 13? Probably not. Firefox wants to drop the number all together, remove it from the about... so we have to what, guess what version we're on.

It's not like they don't have the auto updater like Chrome has, the version number to Chrome is largely irrelevant... except you CAN get it if you want it.

Actually, I did know what version chrome was up to. Oooooooonly because I was installing it on Mint though. Wink  I actually prefer firefox over chrome. It's a habit sorta, and I like that my extensions always work......sometimes. smile

FF6 is quick!

Yup, it is, shame that FF5 wasn't. I am glad that firefox is now allegedly using less memory. Mozilla are claiming that FF7 will use less with some kind of new memory engine
