Hmmm, nice. I popped in here to ask for a reality check on what I'm going to do with my setup. Here's my thought and plan. I bought a
Belkin N300 to bridge to a linksys wrt54g, which is fairly bullet proof, but not a speed demon. On the bottom floor and the master bedroom directly above the the belkin, I will have a Roku 2 XS(wired, along with 2 other PCs) and general wireless on the bottom floor with a 2nd Roku XD(wireless) in the master BR. I plan to bridge it to the Linksys and provide wireless to my daughter's room and the spare bedroom on the second floor, where she'll have a Roku HD and/or internet access. All of this will be done @G wireless. I'm fairly certain that it will work because there will only be 2 HD streams at most at all times on the wireless, and those 2 wireless streams will be split between two routers. I will be upgrading to strictly N in the future, but that will be a few months out when we upgrade to phones that can connect at N speeds and not cause everything to slow to G. Until everything connects at G, I see no need to go out and convert the last few pieces to N. Correct me please if I'm wrong as I've not really ever planned out a bridged network with multiple HD streams. As I understand and has proven itself at my current house, G can and does handle @ least 1 stream of HD w/5.1 per router. This will all be done on a 30 Mpbs connection. I am open to some myth busting here and some suggestions. IOW, if I'm full of it, do tell and correct.
