Load Game (As opposed to continue campaign).
That's what I've been doing.
I haven't completed the game yet so don't know if there's a problem afterwards, but there shouldn't be.
Thats what I have ended up doing, it seems you as long as you dont enter Capital Prime then you can go between the 2 towns and do all the extras like the jumps ect..
