Pretty good coolers for the price and there quiet. I found it a bit of a bugger fitting it in place on an AMD board that was fitted in the case due to fiddly wee screws used to hold the clips on.

The only problem I had was the fitting, very fiddly but other than that it's been the mutt's nuts for cooling. Small overclock to 3.2ghz and it runs @ 40c under load with this new HAF 922 case.

The fact that you can unclip the fan from the front makes it easier for cleaning the stoor off the fins.

Nice cooler Splint. I had one on my Q6600 @3.5. I never saw dangerous temps, even under the heaviest extended load.

Looks about the size of my brick. Got it in PCW with Gen's discount Not quite... it's quite a bit smaller... 4cm or so. Scarily, on each side... http://www.scythe-usa.com/product/cpu/024/scinf1000.htmlStill holds my personal best for a Heatsink. Two fans on it, 135mm x 116mm x 160mm... you can actually mount four 120mm fans on it though. I couldn't use it at the same time as the removable motherboard tray though, I had to put it on after I slid the tray back in. Weights an entire kilogram, without fans. A typical 120mm fan weights in the region of 120g. If you want to get a size estimate, it's about the same size side on as a bluray box is. I currently use the Scythe Mini Ninja, which is the 'baby brother' of the Infinity, on my old E8400 based server. It doesn't even have a fan on it.

I had mine pointed at my rear exhaust fan. I didn't want it dumping on my graphics card, but I was using it on an Intel, not an AMD. Might have made a difference.

With an AMD board you only have 2 choices, so I put the fan pushing air up to the top of the case. I'll post some pics later.

That's sort of what I vaguely remembered. Mine came with mounting brackets for both and the AMD brackets seemed much more substantial than the Intel cheap plastic pins. Sent by Droid X while sniping squirrels from my roof.

Very impressed so far. While I was at it, I changed the case at the same time for one that is more robust and with better cooling properties. Weighs a ton! The stock AMD cooler was damn noisy, especially in the current heat. Idle temps at room temp of around 29c (no aircon) with stock cooler were about 45c and at full load 55c. The Arctic, in the same conditions idles at about 35c and full load around 50c. The fan is almost inaudible and with the change of case, so is the whole rig. The fitting was fiddly due to the tiny screws and there's no indication of how tight to screw them. The plastic lugs on the AMD retaining brackets are strong, but not indestructable. I just had to ensure a very firm contact without over doing it. Positioned the fan sucking air away from the GPU since it was one of only two choices.
