First time I've used a touch screen phone and after a couple of days use it's hard to see if I could go back. We'll see. Very quick. Very Apple and pretty robust. WiFi connection is excellent. 3G connected without any user input from me (?) and then gobbled up all my credit. Fixed. (I'm on prepaid) Synching is a black art for me. Prefer simple data transfer USB mass storage device etc, but there are a load of progs for fixing that. Don't like the iTunes restrictions at all.

I'd like one if they would drop in price but the 'lifestyle' brigade ensure that no matter what crazy prices pApple charge the cost of iPhone will remain artificially inflated.
I'm on a low end Android phone that's been rooted but the rooting has opened it right up.
I've overclocked it to over half of its original clock speed.
You going to Jailbreak that pApple phone Splint ?

Got a mate to Jailbreak it on Monday FOC. Luckily I didn't pay a penny for the phone, it was a gift from Genevieve as she had just got an HTC desire Z on contract. I wouldn't pay $$$$ for a 'must be seen using one' type object either. Note to self...............do NOT turn on DATA receive!

Wireless will run the battery low in a day if you keep it on, plus it is a bit annoying to keep it on while receiving emails and browsing, constant pop-ups etc (I know you can turn it off)

Iv had my galaxy charging all night, i only turn wifi on when i want to do some quick browsing on here or facebook or email, battery had been discharging 6 hours and 40 minutes when it alerted me that i had to connect my charger again. Iv only had wifi on 6 times for at most 10 minutes a go. I ways kill silly process's using advanced task killer, iv sent 2 txts and recieved 4. I recieved 1 phone call for about 10 to 15 minutes. Checked the power drain thingy and it said cell standby at 46% and phone idle 42% are the biggest users. I have sync turned off and only use 2G networks.
Is this normal? I feel that is very limited use and the battery still pisses away, id hate to see someone using one of these for business.

I got a desire hd from work. Nice big screen etc, but battery life is utter crap, the kids have got it and my battery warning is on within an hour.
Smartphones are great bits of kit but as a phone, they are shite. If i need to be contactable i swap the sim card into my trusty Nokia 6300. Battery lasts days and days and it's tiny.

Was that reason that I binned the iPhone4. Add to that I lost WAY too many calls due to its crappy reception. Gone back to the old workhorse Blackberry (Torch now) and as a work tool it is the mutts. ...As a toy it is is utter crap

I can't see the reason for an eyepoke honestly. It doesn't do anything my X doesn't do faster or for cheaper. I don't get them to be honest.

WiFi and Bluetooth kill the battery life on any phone.
I still have my trusty old Touch Pro (that I've refused to give up) and the battery life on it is still good three years on....so long as I leave BT and WiFi off until I need them.

Headphones: The iPhone has a standard 1/8-inch stereo headphone minijack, so any headphones with a standard miniplug will work—assuming you can plug them in. The problem is that the iPhone’s headphone jack is recessed considerably into the phone’s body, so headphones with thick plugs, or with short L-shaped plugs, won’t fit. If you’ve got such headphones, you’ll need an adapter such as Belkin’s $11 Headphone Adapter (pictured at right) or Shure’s $40 Music Phone Adapter; the latter includes a microphone and control switch, so you can use your favorite headphones as a wired phone headset. With a bloody great adapter sticking in your leg! Bloody wonderful! Also, Bluetooth will NOT pair with other devices..Nokia etc. It will see the other device, try to pair, but won't connect Even more fucking wonderful! This will be my last foray into iPhonelandia
