How many times have you heard rubbish about any FPS above 25 is over kill and undetectable by the human eye ?

I disagree and think the more frames the better and smoother experience. Also more responsive to any HID.

This wee link kinda shows it....

I've always heard that 50-60 is about the minimum you can get away with.  confused

60fps or stuff gets turned off.

I'm sure everyone here has been told it was 'physically impossible' to tell that a screen was at 50hz, except I could do it. Out of the corner of my eyes (only worked with peripheral vision for me), I could go down a line of PCs and pick out the ones that were 50hz. I'm sure you lot could as well, I think it's the mark of a geek to be honest.

I always found complicated jumps and maneuvers were much easier to hit on higher frame rates. I remember once trying for weeks to pull of a move in COD that someone else was doing and being frustrated and not being able to pull it off. The next week I bought a new video card and boosted my frame rates hugely. I hit the jump on the second try and never had a problem. I say the higher the frame rates, the more precise the head shot is.  Wink
