http://www.onlive.co.uk/games/featuredgames#&tab=top_games

That's it available in the UK now and it's only a quid for your first game.
It's ideal if you don't have a top notch gaming rig and they also sell kit to hook up direct to your TV via HDMI.

Not tried it yet so I've got no idea how well it works, but it's been going in the USA for around four months.

Still really can't understand how it's a viable platform... scratchhead

Side by side comparison, DiRT 3 on onlive looks absolutely shite.

Textures are muddy, and the bit rate isn't high enough to handle dense foliage without losing quality. It's on some really low settings too, no reflections, water quality is poor.

Not played Assassins Creed 2, but I do have the previous and that looks better.

Though, I am disappointed of the graphics of Gears of War 3 too, but maybe I've been spoilt by high textures of PC games.

Just ran a few trials anyway... might still get the quid game, but I don't think I'd buy a full priced game for it! Probably not even the monthly subscription, just due to the graphics quality.

I was impressed at the responsiveness though.

-edit-

Apparently some of the graphics quality of the trials isn't as good. Will still give the quid one a go.

I'm not that keen on it to be honest. Great concept but the delay albeit slight is very annoying, and the graphics are affected by the compression.

As a method of try before you buy it's ok.

Though, if there was a method of demoing without onlive I would use that!
