Always found the stuff I've heard from him funny ; limited as the stuff I've heard is.

But that shit as far in to it as I got wasn't. It just stank of lets laugh at the spastics. I seriously thought he was a realist, a funny guy who could call reality for what it is in the same brutality as life is, yet make it seem ridiculous.

I'm tempted to say 'no doubt' he goes on in that sketch to make a point ; as his humour is mostly (afaik) clever and pointed.
But I can't possibly know as the perquisite to any point in that particular sketch was just cruel ; nothing short of pointing and laughing and making fun of the afflicted. The arsehole styled (possibly canned) laughter didn't help.

I like Doug Stanhope. 

They never show the classic Kind Hearts and Coronets any more, and you'd be lucky to see the Dambusters movie because of the nigger references (in the Dambusters movie only the dog was called nigger..and that only appeared briefly, before it got run over by a honky in a jeep).
We won't see some of the old Tom & Jerry cartoons for the same reason either, the Honeymooners is unlikely to be shown again (domestic violence), Foghorn Leghorn is a slander on the southern United States (with subversive leanings toward the separatist Confederacy)

There's also a line for individuals between what is decent and that which is just vulgar low common denominator.

Just because he is usually good doesn't excuse the fact that that particular piece, of which I seen a small amount of was beyond the realms of decency. He doesn;lt have license to just say whatever the fuck he wants and get away with under previous guises or form.

It was extreme bad taste that amounted to this....

I just made myself sit through the first 3 minutes of that and I've got to agree with Keasy's viewpoint on it.  Some things you just don't make fun of and it did cross the line of common decency .  Honestly though Dazza, if you are still lurking I don't know why you wanted to leave over it babe
